James Romano

James Romano is a Brazilian-Italian guitarist and singer currently living in Charleston WV. With his roots in rock music, from The Beatles to Guns N’ Roses, he combines those influences with the music he grew up around in Brazil to create a unique musical experience. 

At the age of 16 he recorded his first record with his high school rock trio “The Hills” (released in 2024), which was heavily inspired by the big hard rock groups (AC/DC, Foo Fighters..), as well as alternative rock groups (Radiohead, Oasis). 

After leaving Brazil, James started his solo career as a singer-songwriter, lead guitarist for other artists, and formed the acoustic-comedy duo “2 Roommates” with his college roommate Kelton Boblits. Combining Beatles covers with comedy, blues, jazz, bossa nova, and different mashups, the duo has performed in several venues around WV. 

Currently James is working on his debut solo album “Before We Even Make It” which will be released in early 2026, while also working on both solo performances and shows with “2 Roommates”
