By the time you are reading this, I will already be underway with the fall semester, which longtime readers will know, means that I am near death and about to balance myself on the razor's edge for the next few months. This past weekend I was lucky enough to go to The Athens Community Arts and Music Festival with dear friends from the station. I got to see a lot of bands that I have been playing over the last few years on Attention Please, including Pal, Dana, & Gustaf. All of these acts exceeded my expectations – I have been listening to Gustaf for a while, but I was totally unprepared for the madness and brilliance of their live set.
